Stewardship
School Supplies for Jamica-view
Stewardship as a way of life is taught to Blessed Sacrament students through prayer, community service, and virtuous living. The students are guided to practice stewardship within the school, the parish and their homes through food drives for the needy, weekly tithing envelopes, religious vocations awareness, Benediction on First Fridays, missions to the poor, and many other activities.
Time, treasure, and talent will be offered in service to the Lord on a daily basis through prayer, community service, and virtuous living in all aspects of school life including:
1. Temperance in immediate gratification of one’s own desires and in using the resources God has blessed us with in a spirit of poverty.
2. Justice, especially for the poor and mistreated, God’s favored people.
3. Show respect and appreciation for the value of the sacrifices parents and parishioners make for Blessed Sacrament School by standing out for Christian/Catholic values.
4. Exercise prudence by thinking before acting so that others are not hurt by our selfish impulses to stand out in the world (as opposed to the Kingdom)
