Formal mission programs provide some of the most memorable experiences for children in their faith formation.

How many of us look back upon the pagan baby collections in Catholic grammar school as the most important example of Christianity?

Despite the rampant consumerism of our time, children have an uncanny ability always to empathize with the world’s needy. In order to set up students to someday understand the tragic contradiction between the plight of the world’s poor and the 1st world’s consumerism, participation in the missions is  essential to faith formation.

Every religion class will try to sign each student up as a member of the Holy Child Association and include participation in this mission as a part of the regular class routine.
