| The Catholic School Office and the schools of the diocese use the student information system PowerSchool, from Apple. PowerSchool is a cross-platformed web-based system. It can be customized so that the diocese can standardize some features, but individual schools can customize others. Because PowerSchool is web-based with a single server at the School Office, local schools don’t have to manage a network and there is no software to be updated or replaced. Teachers have full access to a grade book and other student records. Grade schools are able to transfer records to the high schools with the push of a button. Administrators are able to file many of their state and diocesan reports automatically, and, with a password, parents can access their children’s grades at any time. |
