Parking Regulations

For families who drive to school, you can either go to the parking area on Douglas Street across from the Church or to the parking area north of the Church.  When parking in the Douglas lot, please leave the lane next to the sidewalk free.  If you park/let off in the area north of the church, please use the entrance immediately north of the Church and then either drop off and circle around north to either of the two northern most exits or go down the alley toward Douglas.  For pickup and drop off purposes near the commons areas, we ask that you go north in the lane adjacent to the commons.

Vans and tall vehicles should use the backspaces to facilitate good visibility for students and drivers in the parking lots.  Please do not let children out of the car on Douglas Street.  Also, please be cognizant of the traffic regulations designed to ensure safety of all (using turn signals, yielding the right of way to pedestrians, and knowing/being able to respond to what is in front of you).

Quentin Street gets very crowded, but is a third option for those who choose it.  PLEASE DROP YOUR CHILD OFF GOING NORTH TO SOUTH TOWARD DOUGLAS STREET.  Do not drive north on Quentin when dropping off or picking up your children.  Their safety is our primary concern and if they leave the school and use the crosswalks in an orderly fashion, we can control the traffic flow.  Please explain this and cooperate with us so we have no regrets with regard to an unnecessary accident.

The East side of Quentin Street is not to be used as a parking spot to leave your car during school hours.  You can park there momentarily to pick up a child for an appointment, but you should use the Douglas or Roosevelt lots when you come to visit or volunteer at the school.  The height of Vans and SUV’s makes for a blind spot in drivers vision as children are running to and from the play ground.  PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT WE WANT TO AVOID A TRAGEDY.  You can enter through the parish office or walk from the Douglas lot to the Quentin doors.
