Hours
The school office is open from 7:45 a.m. until 3:40 p.m. on all regular school days. Phone calls can be made starting at 7:15 or on the school’s answering machine at any time.

School Cancellation
School cancellation due to weather related concerns would follow the decision of USD 259. Major TV and radio stations will report school cancellation.

Telephone Usage
Students will be allowed to use the phone for emergency situations only. Students will not be allowed to call home for forgotten articles. It is hoped that this will instill a sense of personal responsibility in the students.

Electronic Devices
Electronic devices, such as cellular phones, pagers, and headphones, etc., may not be used during school hours. Any of these devices will be confiscated by the teacher and kept in the school office until a parent comes to claim them.

Messages
The school office number is 684-3752. Since this is a business phone, children will be able to use the phone to call parents only for emergencies. Children may not be called to the phone during school time. Phone messages to children are not allowed except of emergencies. Plan ahead before your child leaves for school each day. Our office staff cannot relay messages for transportation arrangements unless this is an emergency. The school must be notified immediately of any communicable disease a student contracts, and the child should not be returned to school until a doctor has given written permission. When your child is missing school because of illness, please call the office by 8:15 a.m. Messages can be left on the answering machine before or after office hours.

Emergency Information
Emergency information is required for each student registered. This will guarantee prompt action and notification in the event your child becomes ill or is injured while at school. This data should be brought upto- date from time to time. Home and business telephone numbers and address changes should be immediately reported to the school office.

Visitation
All persons (parents, visitors, etc.,) who come to the school for any reason whatsoever must check in first at the School Office. This is a courtesy that should be considered seriously for the good order and safety of our students. Teachers will be available for you to see them until 3:30 on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, unless other arrangements have been made. We do ask that you notify them in advance.
